R.S.Agarwal aptitude book and some basic technical knowledge in what we have studied so far and good coding skills(in whatever language you are strong) for computing students. For other branches, basic knowledge in coding(c,c++,java) and should know about current affairs in IT industry and about the company you are sitting.
● Questions asked in each Round :
Hai friends, My name is D.Keerttana. I have got selected in WIPRO in 2015 batch. I am very excited about my new job and want to share my experience for the same.
1st round - Group Discussion
They have splitted as 15 members in a group. We made friends each other and planned for each one in our group has to give chance to speak so that 15 members in our group has to get selected. We cooperated each other as whatever the topic may be, 7 members has to speak positive and rest about negative. Then they have called our group. We went, a mam was a judge for our GD and she gave the topic as "Agriculture nowadays in India, whether it is destroying or improving". Each one opened our mouth and spoke out well. Finally, it was a miracle. 15 members got selected in our group and we are the only group like this.
2nd round - Aptitude Round
It contains 4 sections. Numerical,verbal,logical and technical. For numerical R.S.Agarwal book is enough. For verbal reading daily newspaper habit is more than enough. Logical, you have to use your brain at that time. For technical, basic c,c++,java. They will ask as, giving a code and one line will be missing, which one is correct to make the program execute. And finding the error in a program.
3rd round - Technical Round and 4th round - HR round
For myself, they conduct both in a single stretch. In my panel, there was only one person. When I enter the panel, he asked me to take seat and take relax for 2 minutes. Thank God I prepared myself what to say if he questions me and my nervousness was reduced a little bit. Then he asked me to Introduce myself. When I am telling, he was very curious in listening and said "oh is it,super!!!'. It was very encouraging for me and my hands were dried. He asks about current leading technologies in IT industry. I said about SMAC. Then he asks me to write a code for one apti qn. (Two trains coming from opposite side to each other. He gave the distance in metres and speed in km/hr and asked the time to meet. He expected me the conversion from metre to kilometre or viceversa and returning type as float like that. I got that and did). If you couldn't solve just try to get atleast 75%. They will check your learning capability. Don't say "I don't know". Say as I will learn quickly. Finally, he said okay and asked me do you have any question to ask. I asked how will be the higher studies in WIPRO and what are all the colleges you provide for it. He explained and I said Thank you and returned.
● Interview Experience
○ What did they ask from Resume?
For myself, he didn't even open my resume. In introduce myself part, I said some part in my resume and activities done during college(like paper presentation, sports competition). Please always say also whatever the extra activities that you have done which is not in resume. Because they may have already read the resume. When you say the same, they will get bored.
● From where to prepare?
R.S.Agarwal book for numerical aptitude and indiabix,geeksforgeeks(for coding) websites are the basics. This is necessary but not sufficient. But you will get idea by attending many interviews(Apti test by other companies). More than this, presence of mind plays a major role.
● I think I was selected because?
I think I was selected because I satisfied my panel judge in whatever manner he is expecting for an employee of WIPRO company.
● My advice to aspirants:
Don't get nervous.Don't show them too.I lost TCS because of this. But this was my first interview experience so I took a chance for WIPRO. Don't lose your hope when you didn't get TCS. Think positive and be bold. If you don't know about he is asking, tell frankly as I don't know,but I will learn quickly. Make him to feel as you are quick learner. Well preparation and presence of mind will give you a good job. All the best friends!!!
