Placement TIPS

TIPS to Remember
* Prepare everything atleast a month before, don’t struggle at the last moment. It will be good if you start your preparation during pre-placement training.
* Don’t worry if you are not able to clear the interview process, you will have lot of opportunities.
* Go through previous year interview process and concentrate more on that.
* Always be ready with aptitude, c/c++ for first round. Additionally with your core subject!
* Don’t waste time by preparing unnecessary concepts.
**Important: Most of the companies are expecting for an optimal solution.  Better to give your solutions more optimized.
**REMEMBER: First you need to clear the first round (mostly aptitude) . So during preparation, start with aptitude then core subjects and then RESUME (They will check your resume only at final round)

**NOTE: SOC Students should have deep knowledge in C,C++,Data Structure,JAVA and core subjects. Non - SOC Students should have basic knowledge in C,C++,Data Structure and their core subjects.

Things to prepare for Placement

Category 1 - Technical Rounds:

(A) MCQ Type Question: (** Only for FIRST Round **)
* Learn all the concepts in C, C++ and go through definition for other technical subjects
* Be thorough with your core subjects. (Non - SOC Students)

 Useful Books/Links : (For C,C++,Java)
       * “Let us C” by Yeshwanth Kanetkar
       * “MCQ’s in Computer Science” by Timothy J Williams
       * Online Tutorial – TutorialPoint , Javatpoint , Java Brains
(B) Programming Question (** Second/Third Round **)
* Same questions will be repeated for all companies.
     Useful Books/Links :

(C) Technical Subjects (** Mostly required in Technical Face to Face Interview **)
(Read the concepts like a story, Read only important concepts. Don’t worry!! This is not an exam, it’s not required to vomit same words as in books – you can tell your own definition without changing the concepts. This round is to check your subject knowledge)
Subjects :
 * For SOC : C,C++,JAVA, Data Structure, Algorithms, OS , DBMS, SQL Queries, CN , Linux..
 * For NON - SOC : Their Core Subjects.

And your area of interest (If any)

Category 2 - Non -Technical Rounds:

(A) Aptitude (** Only for First Round**)
(Concentrate more on QUANTS , Logical Reasoning & Data Interpretation)
(Just go through indiabix for Verbal)

 Useful Books/Links :
RS Agarwal and indiabix.
* It’s more than enough to solve all the problems in both, don’t go for excess.
* The aim is to understand the method of solving, not the number of problems.
* Browse online for more shortcut tricks!
* Better to watch aptitude tutorial for learning basics.

(B) HR Interview (** Mostly Final ROUND**)
* It will be good, if you would have done something different than other candidates.
